In an unrelated matter, the Hermanus Crime Prevention Unit arrested two adult foreign nationals on a charge of tampering with infrastructure. The members received a complaint that a Vodacom communication tower in Vermont had been activated. The suspects fled the scene when they saw police approaching. After two hours, the suspects returned to the tower and were arrested.

Once charged, the suspects will appear in Hermanus Magistrates’ court on the mentioned charge.
