Hello ladies
Welcome to our first Women in Arms, #ThurdayHersday blogpost. A dedicated space on firearms.co.za for women to talk to each other about everything firearms-related.
Why a dedicated blog just for the ladies? It is not because women should be treated differently or are less capable of handling firearms. The ladies (and the friendly gents) from firearms.co.za understand the importance of creating a safe community where women can come to learn about firearms.
My name is Estel de Beer and I will be taking you along on my firearms journey.
A few things about me:
- I live in Pretoria with my husband Michael, who will probably be mentioned from time to time as he is a gun enthusiast.
- I love outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, and golf.
- Most importantly – we will be learning about firearms together.
I am not a licensed gun owner, yet! In the coming months, I will be applying for my competence and firearm license. If you want to become a licensed firearm owner but you do not know where to start, I would like to invite you to join me as we learn about the formal procedures, how to buy firearms, and most importantly, how to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Gender-based violence: Women at greater risk with proposed gun laws
Lastly, I want to direct your attention to all the informative content on the firearms.co.za. Being informed about current events, legislation, and news about firearms is necessary, it directly influences us all.
Consider this your sign to become a legal gun owner.
Close bolts and stand by.
