Krav Maga’s philosophy emphasizes threat neutralization, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggression. It’s a defence system against armed and unarmed attackers.

Training can also cover situational awareness to develop an understanding of one’s surroundings, learning to understand the psychology of a street confrontation, and identifying potential threats before an attack occurs. This self-defence training may also cover ways to deal with physical and verbal methods to avoid violence whenever possible.

These self-defence training workshops are an introduction to Krav Maga, or assist with a specific skill in Krav Maga. These self-defence training workshops are very emotionally challenging, which is necessary to prepare for real life situations. We aim to empower not through the physical skills learnt, but also the emotional coping mechanisms developed throughout these self-defence training workshops.

We feel that when placed in such a situation, with the necessary skills, one could respond and defuse such situations.

We also have special self-defence training workshops where we teach and address as many situations as possible.

We also teach some basic body language skills, which could enable you to spot a hijacker even before something happens.

This is a fundamental skill that is the foundation of all other specialized training at GKMI. It is important to understand that there is a significant difference between combat shooting and sport/target shooting.

Many people shoot at a shooting rage and might even be good shots when target shooting, this does not make it an effective skill in combat or high stress situations however, we encourage you to visit us and see how different it really can be, and to equip yourself to handle your firearm properly in a combat or criminal attack situation.

Combat shooting self-defence training is open to civilians and also lays the foundation to all the law enforcement and private security sector training courses that we provide. Our combat shooting techniques come from the Israeli Special Forces – techniques that have been forged in battle over decades.

Our training course is almost 90% practical and 10% theoretical. Sitting in a lecture hall for too long, learning practical skills from a white board will never equip you for real life situations. The only way to instinctively react is to practice skills repeatedly under all sorts of conditions.

This training course is based on the Israeli SHABACK 730 Unit. This unit provides all the protection for the Prime Minister, President and other ministers of Israel.

Today, most of the good close protection units around the world use the SHABACK 730 program. All members of this unit come from Israeli special forces.

GKMI develops and provides special training courses in various subjects of combat which are the most effective and meets the needs of the client.

Our SWAT courses are based on the Israeli Counter Terrorism unit (Yamam). This unit specializes in any kind of hostage rescue, whether being in a house, plane, bus or anywhere else for that matter.

The techniques used are the most advanced in the Israeli Special Forces. This training is specifically for law enforcement and military units.

We have civilian Krav Maga self-defence courses and Krav Maga techniques specifically for law enforcement. We can design a Krav Maga training course around any unit’s needs.

Generally, law enforcement hand-to-hand combat training courses are very ineffective. Training is mostly done in comfortable situations, with protection, non-realistic aggression and sport martial arts techniques.

This leads to the inability to respond to situation in real life.

In our modern age, law enforcement also relies too heavily on technology, and not on the development of practical knowledge and skills, which is a significant problem. At the end of the day, everything is still in the hands of a human being and not a technological tool.

Because our Krav Maga is still rooted in a military special forces and law enforcement background, it is simply the best system for use in law enforcement and military environments.
